Summary[]
Hobbes and Socrates attempt to scare Sherman into going to the vet.
Plot[]
Calvin, Hobbes, and Socrates are on a G.R.O.S.S. mission that involves Socrates soaking Susie with a catapult full of water balloons. They go to Andy and Sherman's house to hide from Calvin's mother, and Andy tells her they went to Socrates' house. Andy tells them Sherman is in a fiery mood because he has to go to the vet for a checkup. Sherman angrily tells them that the vet is a horrible place. Hobbes and Socrates have a little fun with him and tell him that Hobbes had a cousin whose brain was switched with that of a duck. That night, Sherman invents a mind eraser and tries to wipe Andy's mind of the appointment, which fails. The next morning, Calvin sees Hobbes and Socrates with a portfolio and asks what they're up to, which they say they're going to scare Sherman. Andy desperately tries to get them to stop, but Calvin decides he will stop them as Spaceman Spiff. Spiff tries to save a space cadet (Sherman) from two hideous aliens (Hobbes and Socrates). It goes on for a while until Andy gets Sherman and takes him to the vet. When Andy returns, he tells Calvin he needs to deploy an invention Sherman made if Hobbes and Socrates were lying. The invention switches Hobbes and Socrates' brains with ducks.
